Stainless Steel Bead Chain with Gold Plating 0.25mm – 8m Spool

Ultra-fine yet surprisingly versatile, this gold plated stainless steel bead chain is perfect for delicate jewellery designs and detailed beadwork. With an incredibly slim 0.25mm profile, the chain is fine enough to thread directly through small beads such as Preciosa bicones and even Miyuki size 11 Delica beads, opening up a wide range of creative design possibilities.

The chain is constructed from tiny squashed oval links that form a smooth, flexible bead chain. These miniature ovals can easily be adjusted using a pointed awl or T-pin. Simply open the oval slightly to form a round ring which acts as a stopper, allowing beads to stay exactly where you place them along the chain. This makes it ideal for spacing beads without the need for crimps or additional findings.

The same technique can be used at the end of the chain. Open the final oval ring slightly to connect a jump ring, clasp, ear hook, or other jewellery component. This makes finishing your design quick and simple while keeping the look neat and minimal.
